Tuscany F1 hybrid Courgette seeds

Tuscany courgette seedsThe fruit of the Tuscany F1 hybrid courgette seeds crop well in our UK climate and their huge leaves suppress weeds, and the fact that the plants have a resistance to powdery mildew makes them an excellent choice for the home gardener.

Courgette Tuscany F1 Hybrid is well suited to the UK climate and will fruit well, even in the North. It's a great variety to try if you're new to home-growing as you get lots of reward from relatively little care.

Producing high yields of very dark, straight fruits, the plants have an erect, open habit with very few spines, making picking easy.

Very good powdery mildew resistance means your plants won't come a cropper just when you're looking forward to harvests.

We recommend that you give each plant an area of around half a square metre so Tuscany has space to develop.

Sow Indoors: April-May ½in (1cm) deep in individual module trays of firm pre watered compost. Temperature 21°C (70°F). Keep soil moist at all times.

Sow Outdoors: May-June ½in (1cm) deep direct in harvest location or in clean module trays of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.

Plant Out: June. Harden off young plants before planting out into the required harvest position 3ft (90cm) apart when risk of frost has passed.

Harvest: August-October.

Pick regularly when fruit is 4in (10cm).
