Chilli Pepper Armageddon seedsChilli pepper Armageddon seeds

The chilli pepper Armageddon seeds produce attractive plants which have small uniform-shaped fruits that are early to mature. I must say that this chilli is well named as the fruits have scored an insane 1.3 million SHU’s (Scoville heat units), so they are up there with the other super-hots.

Armageddon chillies are British bred for a change, and are an early ripening variety and for those that enjoy experiencing super-hot chillies and flavouring in dishes, planting Chilli Pepper Armageddon seeds is most certainly for you!

Fruits of the Armageddon become bright red upon maturity, but we stress that you need to use protective gloves when dealing them in the kitchen or risk injury when touching your skin.

Your packet of Chilli Pepper Armageddon comes with 6 quality seeds that can be sown on the soil surface and lightly covered. Seeds should be sown between January and April for best results with crops typically ready for picking in July, August, September and October.

Once again, Chilli Pepper Armageddon is not for everyone as it packs a potent kick, but if spice, heat and fragrance appeal to you then don’t miss out on this breath taking seed variety.

NB: To germinate these seeds we stress that you will need a propagator and plenty of light. Seed merchants may state that these plants are OK to put in your gardens, patios etc. but believe me when I say that if you do that you will only see a fraction of the fruits which you could enjoy if you kept them in a conservatory or greenhouse. Basically, much depends on where you live.

There is a rumour going around that the chilli pepper Armageddon is the hottest chilli in the world. It is not, and is far from the hottest! It is still fiendishly hot but about on a par with the Ghost Pepper (Naga Jolokia) and one or two others but is nothing as hot as the Carolina Reaper with a max heat of 2,200,000 SHU’s.

We believe that this totally unfounded rumour is being spread by a certain supermarket chain here in the UK in an effort to boost sales.
