Courgette Alfresco F1 hybrid seeds
Courgette Alfresco F1 hybrid seeds produce creamy-green coloured fruit with a distinctive, delicate flavour. Unique amongst other courgettes such as the dark green skinned or yellow skinned varieties. The texture is fleshy which means it keeps well. Alfresco is a truly outstanding courgette.
These pale and interesting courgettes are so light that they are almost white and most unusual in appearance. They have a much drier flesh than conventional varieties, resulting in a remarkably better eating quality with absolutely no sogginess!
Easy to grow and you don't have to wait too long after planting before you are able to start picking a crop. Very delicious when baked in our Aga! An easy and versatile vegetable for grilling, roasting, frying and, sliced thinly and also for putting a crunch into salads.
Sow from April to early June 18-21°C singly, edge on, 1.25cm deep, in pots. Plant out after last frost. Space plants up to 1m apart. Feed weekly and keep well watered. Can be grown early or late under glass to extend the growing period. Courgette flowers are also widely used.
