Chilli Mirch Masala seeds produce medium hot chillies which give an abundance of downward facing peppers that ripen to a fiery red on semi-erect plants, giving a kick to curries, stir fries, sauces, soups and salads.
This variety was originally bred for outdoor cropping in India and it has proved adaptable to a wide range of climatic conditions in this and other countries worldwide, and has performed exceptionally well in unheated greenhouses in Northern Europe.
Sow thinly January-March at 28C in cells or trays. Cover lightly with compost or vermiculite. Pot on into 9cm (3½”) pots when 2 sets of true leaves show. Transplant to larger pots/growing site when roots show at bottom of pot. When the flowers show, feed weekly with tomato food or liquid seaweed.
Preferring a full sun position these chillies are perfect for pots and containers.
