The old favourite Savoy Serpentine cabbage - 30 seeds per packet

Serpentine cabbage F1 Hybrid seeds produce an outstanding summer or autumn Savoy type cabbage that produces a much flatter head with few outer leaves compared to other Savoy varieties.

Savoy Cabbage Serpentine is one of the old favourites, the ultimate Savoy cabbage for looks and flavour and reputed as the best cabbage there is for show growing. Fewer external leaves means less wastage in the kitchen, and it's perfect for summer and autumn cropping.

Serpentine will stand well throughout summer and keeps its form well, remaining firm through the frost. Serpentine has a good, strong flavour and the texture of the leaves makes them ideal for steaming and boiling and using in stir fries.

Serpentine is an early 90-110 day variety suitable for harvest from the end of July to the end of September. Serpentine seeds can also be sown in October to mature from the end of June to early July from a polythene covered crop.
