Early French Frame 4 Lisa carrot seeds - 2000 seeds per pkt | fast growing | suitable for containers
Carrot Early French Frame 4 Lisa carrot seeds produce much rounder carrots, without the deep shoulder cavity which is typical if most other round types.
This variety is quick to crop and perfect for poor soils or container growing with good resistance to Carrot Fly.
Sow Outdoors: February-August thinly ½in (1cm) deep in shallow pre-watered drills, in soil that hasn''t been manured in the last 12 months. Keep soil moist at all times. (Protect early sowings with cloche or fleece).
Thin Out: 2-3in (5-8cm) apart. Avoid crushing the leaves as the scent attracts carrot root fly.
Harvest: June-November
Surround the carrot bed with a barrier of polythene or fleece at least 60cm high to keep low flying carrot root fly from your crop.
Smooth round roots can be harvested at 2 and 3cm diameter.
