Piccolo F1 hybrid Courgette seeds - the dual purpose variety nearly round courgette/small marrow
Piccolo courgette seeds produce a real dual-purpose variety, producing an abundance of nearly round, green striped courgettes, which when harvested small are of great shape for kebabs. Each Piccolo courgette has an an excellent quality and flavour.These fruits can also be left to rapidly mature into small, round marrows which are perfect for stuffing. A neat, spine-free bush habit makes this variety easy to grow and perfect for containers.
Sow Indoors: April-May ½in (1cm) deep in individual module trays of firm pre watered compost. Temperature 21°C (70°F) Keep soil moist at all times.
Sow Outdoors: May-June ½in (1cm) deep direct in harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times.
Plant Out: June. Harden off young plants before planting out into the required harvest position 3ft (90cm) apart when risk of frost has passed.
Harvest: August-October.
Harvest small, or leave to mature into small round marrows.
